I got into researching these issues, since my X400 would show irregular short instances of re-focusing when focused already. I am still in the process of finding out how I can prevent this behaviour. Focusing delay at startup has been reduced after calibrating AF using an object at 1,5m distance. It may be important to know the set up, when doing re-calibrations.
