Review 1: Pretend like that was 3.5 stars. It feels like a companion to his previous book, and that's both good and bad. The good part is, if 'Don't Make Me Think' struck a chord with you, so will this. The bad part is, some parts of this book weren't very surprising. It's basically an on-steroids version of the chapter from the 2nd edition of 'Don't Make Me Think.' Don't get me wrong, expanding, revising, and detailing that chapter is valuable work, and I'm glad I own this, but $35 feels just a tad steep all things considered.review 2: A very essential guide to simple usability testing for small companies. The book includes walkthroughs, scenarios and checklists - basically everything you need to get started.

It spoon-feeds information and it's really simple and easy. Without redundant chapters. It does assume you already have some knowledge on usability and just shows you the way to conduct the tests yourself. In my opinion, it's very good, but also very short and I would have preferred if it was cheaper. No complaints regarding the contents though.

The Books
Now in its 3rd edition! After 14 years, I finally updated the book that’s become almost everyone’s introduction to Web usability (500,000 copies in 20 languages). Don’t Make Me Think, Revisited is still short enough to read on a plane ride, but now the examples are from the 21st century, and it talks about mobile sites and apps.

The how-to book. If Don’t Make Me Think convinced you that you should be doing usability tests, this book tells you exactly how to do them. Hint: It’s much easier than you’d think, as you can see in this usability test video that shows how I do them.
Interviews
Chris Schmitt has posted an hour of our very pleasant (for me, anyway) conversation on the Non Breaking Space podcast. As usual, I probably said several things I shouldn’t have (e.g. bad-mouthing mobile design, starting at 11:20).
Skyrim dawnguard soundtrack download. To avoid losing dream music forever in a post-awakened haze, my first step is to concentrate on recalling the strongest emotions I experienced in the dream. Emotions in dreams are like emails.
TheUXIntern (Wesley Noble) has posted our hour-long chat (also available on iTunes podcasts). We ended up talking about things like The Great Skeuomorphism Panic of 2013.
UserTesting.com has a pretty freewheeling two-part interview about the third edition of Don't Make Me Think. (At one point, I can't remember Geena Davis's name.)
Or you can listen to Lou Rosenfeld and I have our usual good time discussing wearables. (Spoiler: I'm an Apple Watch fan.)
Sadly, the video of one of my favorite presentations (“Is Usability Taking a Nose Dive?” in Pasadena a few years ago) somehow got shredded by YouTube. If you happen to have a copy, please let me know. (The slides are available on SlideShare.)
